Parsons
Parsons Graphic Design Summer Intensive
I spent summer 2018 at parsons design school. these pieces below pushed me outside of my comfort zone. the assignment was to explore new york city and create.

Coney Island Brochure
I explored the generational iconography of how stickers are the Millennial’s expression of graffiti art; brought to life from a Coney Island Photo Shoot.
Make a Music Poster
Music moves us to feel. As an artist Brandi Carlile moves us to attune to her authenticity. This poster combines a coming of age story about love & soulmates, supported with the wisdom of age. The black & white photo represents a historical memory of a childhood once moving quickly. The overlay of the lyrics in the lines across the outline of the elder male’s profile represents the soulful coming of age stories Brandi Carlile shares with us in her art.
Make a Book Cover using Title Ominous Type
The assignment was to connect your creation with your hands to your ability to create digital graphics. The illustration featured here was hand drawn, then applied to Adobe Photoshop to fit the required book cover specs, and refine the color palette. The translation of the title “Ominous Type” into imperfect gradient circles that created waves, to make the graphic experience feel both amorphous, and continuous.
